The key to happiness lies in being in the present moment. Of course there is about 50% genetic factor when it comes to happiness. This means if your genes don’t favor, it either going to be extremely difficult for you to be in the present moment, or even after being in the present moment you may not feel happy.
Besides the genes, the key to happiness is the ability to be in the present moment. This is the state often described as the ‘zone’ or in psychology ‘flow’. This is the state where one is fully immersed in the activity and is doing the activity for the sake of the activity and nothing else. Some of the examples are an artist at work or the athletes at work. But it can be any activity.
