One of the popular lesson from Shapiro is that of time-in. It is kind of the opposite of time-out. Too often parents over emphasize kids undesirable behavior. This conditions kids to dread the sound of their own name.
With time-in you spend every day at least 5-10 minutes one on one time with your kid doing whatever the kid wants without any questions or corrections.
