Mindfulness is mind training, and by using mindfulness meditation, one can cultivate insight into our internal drives, desires and cravings. These insights allow us to exert a limited amount of internal control in our lives.
Although we always think we have more control than we actually do. And mindfulness is not the only thing that can help us develop more freedom. Physical exercise and intellectual stimulation are also effective.
