Is Running the Same as Meditation?

It is true mindfulness meditation has been making news lately. It is also true that mindfulness  has been gaining positive recognition and has been lauded because of its countless benefits, which include a heightened awareness of varied physical sensations and an improved ability to deal with pain.

Its benefits, more or less, are the same with that of running. But is running really the same as mindfulness meditation? Or is distinct?
