Why Schools in China Replaced Nap Time with Meditation

Students from a primary school somewhere in south China’s Guangdong Province were told to sit down and meditate instead of a utilizing a few minutes of their midday breaks for napping.

The program was initiated by the school headmaster, who himself has practice meditation for over 20 years. Why did he replaced nap time with mediation? What were his motives? What were the parents’ reactions?

These are just some questions surrounding the headmaster’s move, and he has also has prepared his answers and reasons.
